Does SmartPOS AI work offline?
Yes. SmartPOS AI is built as a Progressive Web App (PWA) with full offline support. All product data, prices, and customer information are cached locally. You can process sales, apply discounts, and print receipts without any internet connection. When connectivity returns, all transactions sync automatically to the cloud.
Is there a dedicated restaurant mode?
Yes. SmartPOS AI includes a full restaurant module with visual floor plans, table management, kitchen display system (KDS), QR code ordering for dine-in guests, split billing, and course management. You can switch between retail and restaurant modes or use both simultaneously.
What receipt printers are supported?
SmartPOS AI supports Star Micronics, Epson, and other ESC/POS compatible receipt printers via USB, Bluetooth, or network. Kitchen printers for restaurant orders are also supported. Receipt templates are fully customizable with your logo, business details, and custom text.
What is the difference between standalone and ERP-integrated POS?
Standalone SmartPOS AI (at smartposai.com) gives you the full POS and backoffice system as an independent product with its own pricing. When used as part of SmartERP, you get everything in the standalone version plus automatic integration with accounting (SmartBooks), CRM, HR, and all other ERP modules. Sales data flows into your general ledger, customer data syncs with CRM, and employee management connects to HR.
Can I manage multiple store locations?
Yes. Add unlimited store locations, each with its own product catalog, pricing, tax settings, and employee assignments. The backoffice provides consolidated reporting across all stores plus individual store analytics. Stock transfers between locations are also supported.
Does SmartPOS AI integrate with payment providers?
Yes. SmartPOS AI integrates with Stripe, PayPal, Mollie, Razorpay, and other payment providers for card processing. Cash, credit card, and split payment methods are supported out of the box. Integration settings are managed from the backoffice with just a few clicks.
